General Information

In these Terms and Conditions you will find some helpful information about making a booking for a treatment or Reiki course, how to contact me, payments, cancellation policy and information when making purchases from the Shop.

I have also added some information about what happens during a treatment so that if you have not had a therapy or treatment before it will give you some idea what to expect.

If you would like to discuss a possible treatment before making a booking then please contact me and I will happily discuss your reason for attending and the treatments that may be suitable and what they entail. There is also some information on the different therapies in the Treatment section of this website.

Please read any supplementary conditions available at the bottom of these Terms and Conditions which may overrule some conditions. Such as COVID-19 Information.

TREATMENTS
Insurance and Qualifications

I am fully qualified and insured for all the treatments and therapies that I practice.

Please let me know if you wish to see proof of any qualifications or insurance.

​Cancellation Policy
-
If you need to cancel your appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice for appointments and 48 hours for Reiki courses. Either by telephone, text, Whatsapp or email, so that the time can be made available for someone else. No explanation is required.
-
To rebook your appointment, please let me know which date and time you would like or use the online booking to confirm your chosen date and time.
-
Charges for a late cancellation of less than 24 hours for appointments, 48 hours for Reiki courses or no shows may be made.
-
Where there are multiple late cancellations of less than 24 hours for appointments, 48 hours for Reiki courses within a 3 month window, a charge will be made at full price at the stated cost on the website on the day of the next cancelled booked appointment/course and each one thereafter within a 3 month window.

Where a late cancellation charge is due for;
-
Treatments Discount Card - a treatment will be signed off as used.

Pre-paid Course - any payment made will considered as payment for cancellation..
-
If the appointment/ full Reiki/Reiki Sekhem course payment has not been paid, then the cost of the appointment/Reiki/Reiki Sekhem course may be requested and a note placed on your file until paid.

I understand that there are times when late cancellations are necessary and this will be taken into account with regards to charging and refunding.

Booking and appointments

All appointments and Reiki courses are subject to availability.
-
All appointments times quoted include treatment, preparation and consultation.
-
Bookings may be made through the online booking system or by contacting Dawn directly.
-
Bookings made online are confirmed by email.
-
Bookings made directly through Dawn are confirmed by email, text, or Whatsapp whichever is provided.
-
Until confirmed, appointments/Reiki courses are booked on a first come first served basis.
-
Regrettably, late arrival for your appointment/Reiki course will result in a reduced treatment/course time.
-
Same day appointments are sometimes available. Please contact Dawn for availability.
-
Where you have supplied your email, an appointment reminder will be sent to you 24 hours before your confirmed appointment/Reiki Course time.
-
Children 16 years and under:
-
must be accompanied by an appropriate adult for the whole of the treatment.

Vunerable clients:
-
requiring 1-1 or more care must be accompanied by an appropriate adult(s) for the whole of the treatment.

Gentlemen;
-
Copthorne Therapies only treats ladies.
-
if a Gentleman books an appointment/Reiki course/Reiki Sekhem course for himself at Copthorne Therapies then the appointment/Reiki course will be deemed cancelled.

Acceptable behaviour;
-
if a client is under or appears to be under the influence of drink or recreational drugs the treatment will be cancelled forthwith. Full payment will be due.
-
any behaviour by the client either physical or spoken which is not deemed acceptable by Dawn will deem the appointment/Reiki course/Reiki Sekhem course cancelled forthwith. Full payment will be due.

if Dawn decides that she is not able to provide a treatment/Reiki/Reiki Sekhem course to a client, as she is not comfortable in the clients company or does not trust the client, for any reason, she will deem the appointment/Reiki course/Reiki Sekhem course cancelled forthwith. Full payment maybe due.

Reiki Courses;
-
a non-refundable deposit (stated on booking page) is required to secure your chosen date(s). The deposit must be paid a minimum of 7 days before the course date or else the date may be made available to general public. If booking less than 7 days before the course date the deposit must be paid on booking to secure the date.

if you need to change the date(s), 48 hours is needed for cancellation. Rebooking can be made in your own time and the deposit will stand for 12 months from the date of initial booking.
-
the balance of payment for the course is payable at the start of the course.
-
if you do the course over 2 days and you do not attend the 2nd day you will not receive the full Reiki manual or your certificate.
-

An appointment may be cancelled at any time if any of these Terms and Conditions are not met.

Payme nt methods

At Copthorne Therapies I accept cash, most debit and credit cards, some mobile payments and contactless payments.
-
PayPal is available if you book and pay online.
-
Credit or Debit card payments online can be made through PayPal or directly using WIX Payments.

Refunds
-
Refunds of payments made online where the appointment is cancelled more than 24 hours before the appointment time or, appointments cancelled by Dawn as detailed above, will be transacted subject to items below.
-
Deposits for Reiki courses are non-refundable. Where full payment has been made prior to the course starting which is cancelled by you or cancelled by Dawn at anytime (see above), the refund (amount paid less deposit) will be transacted subject to items below.

Refunds for cancelled Gift Vouchers may be requested up to 30 days after the date of purchase.
-
This is seen as a cancellation and will be treated as such for a refund.
-

Refunds for Treatment Discount Card of 6, 10, 12 or 15 treatments may be made if less than 50% of the pre-paid treatments have been fulfilled (6-2,10-4,12-5,15-7 or less). All treatments fulfilled will be charged at full price for working out refund cost, and at the stated cost on the website at the time of the refund. The difference between fulfilled treatments cost and the price paid for the Treatment discount Card will be refunded. See below.

If Dawn has to cancel an appointment you have already booked and paid for which you are not able to rebook, the full amount paid will be refunded subject to items below. Appointments made with the Treatment Discount Card will receive a refund of the value of the prepaid appointment value only, if the last remaining prepaid booking cannot be made.

Refunds will not be made for appointments/Reiki courses cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointment time.

Where a refund is valid subject to the items in this Refunds section; refunds will only be made where the client requests a refund by email or through the website contact page no more than 30 days after the cancelled appointment/Reiki course date or 3 months after the purchase date of a Treatment Discount Card.

Where you have cancelled or violated these Terms and Conditions;
-
your payment made online will be refunded via Paypal or WIX card payments, whichever you used, as soon as practically possible and will be reduced by any transaction fees incurred from PayPal or WIX card payments for both purchase and refund transactions.

your payment made by card in person at Copthorne Therapies will be made via iZettle as soon as practically possible and will be reduced by any transaction fees incurred from iZettle for both purchase and refund transactions.

payments made in person in cash will be made in person in cash at Copthorne Therapies or by BACS as soon as practically possible.
-

Refunds for payments made, where Dawn has cancelled the appointment/course, will be made in full for the amount paid, for the cancelled appointment/course by BACS as soon as practically possible.

Distance/Remote Reiki & Sample Testing Bioenergstics Appointments
-
Distance/Remote Reiki Sekhem appointments and Sample Testing Bioenergetics appointments are considered the same as an in person appointments at Copthorne Therapies, except for:
-
Full payment must be made 24 hours prior to the appointment time or the appointment will be considered cancelled.
-
If a booking is made less than 24 hours prior to the appointment time then immediate full payment is required.
-
Full payment may be made online when booking or by BACS ( details will be sent if requested).
-
Asyra Bioenergetics sample testing
-
You must either provide me with a completed health questionnaire before your appointment or you must provide a contact number which I can contact you on at the start of your Asyra Health Testing appointment time.
-
If I need to call you for informations to run your scans, you need to be available for 30 minutes for an initial appointment or 15 minutes for a follow up consultation at the start time of your appointment.
-
If I am not able to contact you at all on the number you have supplied and you do not contact me then the appointment will be considered as completed at the end of the booked appointment time.
-
If I am not able to contact you on the number you have supplied until part way through the appointment time, or you contact me part way through the appointment time, then you will receive a reduced treatment time as the appointment will end at the booked appointment time.

If I have not received a hair or other sample I will not be able to do any testing and I will only be able to do a consultation and your appointment will end at the end of the booked appointment time.

Remedies from Asyra Health Testing will be delivered to you and put in the post no later than the next day.
-
I will email you your results within 2 days of your appointment.

Distance Reiki treatments
-
Distance Reiki treatments do not require a phone call at the start of the treatment unless pre-arranged.
-
Healing will be given as previously arranged/discussed at the appointment time and for its duration.
-
I will email you details of any imbalances I find during your Reiki session including chakras, colours and any insights I may have.

Gift vouchers
-
Can be used as a whole or part payment for any treatment or Reiki Course at Copthorne Therapies.
-
Gift Vouchers confirm the price paid: not a specific length of treatment.
-
Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
-
Gift Vouchers must be presented at the start of the appointment.
-
Confirmation of receipt of the payment of the Gift Voucher will be requested if there is any doubt as to whether the Gift Voucher has genuinely being purchased. Until this time an additional form of payment for the full cost of the treatment must be made.
-
Additional wording can be requested for the Gift Voucher.
-
No offensive language (at the discretion of Dawn) will be added.
-
You will have the opportunity to check and confirm any wording/spelling changes just once.
-
If none requested - the Gift Voucher will be sent without any additional wording.
-
-
Gift Vouchers in PDF format will be emailed to the email stated on the order within 2 working days.
-
Gift Vouchers have an expiry date of 1 year from date of purchase.
-
Any Gift Vouchers purchased before 1st January 2018 will be valid until 31st December 2018.
-
No priority is given for appointments - please see Terms under Booking and Appointments.
-
The Gift Voucher must be presented at the appointment or else an alternative form of payment is required.
-
Unused amounts of the Gift Voucher can be used against another treatment.
-
If for any reason Dawn ceases working and a Gift Voucher is still valid then contact will be made with the person who initially paid (through the contact details originally given) for the Gift Voucher to arrange for it to be spent or refunded.

Any changes to the Gift Vouchers will be made in these Terms and Conditions.

Treatment Discounts
​

Treatment Discount Cards are proof of pre-payment of multiple treatments of a specific length appointment time at Copthorne Therapies.
-
Treatment Discount Cards are for fully pre-paid treatments only - 10% off 6 treatments, 15% off 10 or 12 treatments and 20% off 15 treatments.
-
Treatment Discount Cards are for a specific appointment length only such as 30 or 45 or 60 minutes.
-
No priority is given for appointments - please see Terms under Booking and Appointments.
-
Treatment Discount Cards cannot be exchanged for cash.
-
Treatment Discount Cards have an expiry date of 2 years from date of purchase.
-
Treatment Discount Cards may be used by more than 1 person.
-
Treatment discount cards are only valid for appointments at Copthorne Therapies.
-
Treatment Discount Cards must be presented at each appointment or else an alternative form of payment is required.
-
Treatment Discount Cards cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounted treatment.
-
Purchasing of Treatment Discount Cards may be stopped at any time without notice.
-
If for any reason Dawn ceases working and a Treatment Discount card has unused appointments then contact will be made with the person who initially paid (through the contact details originally given) for the Treatment discount card to arrange for the remaining appointments to be used or refunded.

Any changes to the Treatment Discount Cards will be made in these Terms and Conditions.

All prices are subject to change.

Prices confirmed on the booking email or if confirmed by text/phone at the time of booking will be charged.

USING THE SHOP
Payments

Paypal provides safe and secure payment processing in the online shop.

Credit and debit cards may be used if you do not have a PayPal account.

Shipping information

All orders are sent with FREE DELIVERY.
-
Deliveries are only made within the UK and in Sterling.
-
Standard UK deliveries usually take 2-5 working days by Royal Mail.
-
If your order is of a higher value, a signature may be required upon delivery.
-
If your order has not arrived within 7 working days, please contact your local Royal Mail delivery office as they sometimes fail to leave a 'while you were out' card.
-
If your order hasn't arrived within 10 working days of you placing the order, please contact us and we will endeavour to trace your delivery or send a replacement.

Delivery times stated are estimates & cannot be guaranteed at busier periods.
Returns and Refunds

A 28-day no quibble guarantee.
-
If for any reason you wish to return goods, we will exchange them or refund your payment.
-
Returns must be made within 28 days of purchase.
-
Your refund will be made within 14 days of receiving the goods.
-
For a full refund the goods must be unopened, unused and in a re-saleable condition.
-
A reduction in the amount you receive as a refund up to the full value of the item(s) may be made if the goods are not in this condition (see point 5.).
-
For items you received damaged, you must contact us within 14 days, before returning.

If you do not receive an item, please note that The Royal Mail does not deem an item lost until 10 days after the expected arrival date. I will not be able to provide a refund or send an alternative/replacement item until the Royal Mail has provided me with a refund. If you wish to receive the item sooner you can purchase the item again and receive a refund for the original item if/when I receive this from the Royal Mail.

Please ensure you receive proof of postage from the post office for all returns (for the correct compensation amount) as any returns lost or damaged will not be refunded.

About the treatment
​
At Copthorne Therapies I do not have a waiting area, so please do not turn up more than 5 minutes before your appointment. Directions will be given in your confirmation email/text.
​
On your first visit I will take your contact details and your medical and health details from you to ensure that you receive a safe and appropriate treatment. On further vists I will check any changes and improvements to your health. This forms a part of your appointment time.
​
Please remember that this is your appointment and if you have any specific reasons for a specific treatment then please ensure this is explained. I will always ensure we have agreed which therapy or combination you will be receiving before starting.
​
Based upon the information you give me I may not be able to offer certain therapies or will need to modify these to ensure a safe treatment. In some cases I may suggest you visit your GP.
​
You will only ever be asked to undress if required by the treatment you are receiving and then only what is needed to be undressed.
​
Blankets are available in case you feel chilly or like to feel cosy as is a heated under blanket.
​
During treatments such as massage you will need to undress the areas to be worked upon. You will be fully covered at all times except the area being worked upon and no sensitive areas will be touched.
​
If you are not able to or, feel discomfort when lying or sitting in a particular position please let me know as I can work with you in a different position, it will not affect the treatment. There is no point in being uncomfortable and in pain as the treatment will not be beneficial.
​
Your treatment is about helping you relax and improving your state of health. Quite often clients will fall asleep as they become more relaxed. If however, you feel discomfort or pain from the treatment, or just need to move, please let me know as feeling tense or pain may prevent the treatment being effective.
​
When your treatment is complete I may give you some exercises to keep the effects from the treatment working and to improve your condition whilst you are at home.
